Story Progression Closet

Tongue and temper sharp as her armor, Yura’s earliest days as a Dragoon were met with burning passion and mastery of her arms and mail. When first encountered, she dons the traditional armor of the Dragoons of Ishgard, sporting a strong stance with hair pulled tightly back.
Yura maintains her Blue armor for a great deal of her time in Eorzea, finding a sort of comfort in the armory of her home, even with her reluctancy to return. She moves easily and quickly in the flexible mail, though somewhat dreads the exposure it leaves her with. Following the encounter with Garuda, she comes to wield the Beak of the Vortex, a reminder of her passionate displeasure at the thought of fighting primals.
Few would ever come to realize that under all her armor, Yura is a young and scared girl, hiding beneathe a shell as she attempts to come to terms with her life.

Broken and fearful, Yura accompanies Alphinaud, Tataru, and the Warrior of light back to her home of Ishgard, having nowhere else to turn. Despite the fears she feels in returning home, given the nature of her departure, she is aware that there is no point in hiding forever, and it is important to confront her past and her future.
Readjusting to the cold climate, Yura is gifted by Tataru and her father new clothing and armor in which to combat both her enemies and the bitter winds of Ishgard. Maintaining her flexible apparatus, Yura begins to favor lighter armor over her sharper Dragoon armor. She begins to wear a headpiece gifted to her by her father and begins to let her hair down, quite literally. She is also gifted an Aethertite earring by her mother.
Yura begings to weild the Dead Hive Spear, ever in despair over her hatred of Primals.

After dealing with her grief and learning to press onward, Yura turns her attentions to the struggles of Ala Mhigo and the Far East, prepare to join her friends in doing whatever it takes to right not only the wrongs of her heritage, but the wrongs she has made in living in the shadow of her past for so long. But is it really that easy for her to simply forget?
Following her journey East, Yura begins to shed even more of her armor, taking advantage of lighter clothing in order to better improve her mobility as her skills further begin to shine, allowing her to better access her skill set as a dancer as well.
Getting further in touch with her “roots” as many liked to say, Yura begins to embrace Xaela crafts as well upon her visiting the Steppe. Liberator at her side, Yura continues to strive ever forward.

Yura’s entrance into the First had devastating effects on the young woman’s psyche, rendering her an amnesiac and depriving her of much of her usual candor and drive. Her limbal rings turning a bright white, her eyes reflect the emptiness of her memories and her desperation to recall that which she has lost.Despite her struggles, Yura’s resilience persisted as she continued to demonstrate her growth and skill even in a new world, wielding her Ryunohige lance with the full weight of whatever consequences might come to pass.Donning a coat forged of reptilian leather reminiscent of those she was once so used to battling, Yura continues to favor a lighter set of armor during her time in the First. Twelve could only hope it could help lighten the weight on her heart and mind.

Lost to the Stars
“When I was a girl, I remember dreaming of the stars. My life was good growing up. I had a loving father, a warm home, good friends. Even when times were bad… they were good. But it never stopped me from feeling like I was missing something. So, I looked to the stars. I took comfort knowing that under that vast blanket of shimmering lights stood all the people I’d ever loved. A reminder that all was not lost to me so long as I could see that sky. I wanted to be this knight in shining armor; for myself or for the world I wasn’t sure, but I dreamed of making things better. Making them right. So I threw myself at that vast sea…and I lost everything in her waves."

Hidden Grace
While rarely one to be caught in frills and lace, a portion of Yura’s time in the First was spent in the company of Dulia Chai, who took joy in dressing the young Au Ra in many a fashion she wouldn’t usually be caught in. Finding a balance between Yura’s armory and a graceful flow of cloth, Yura eventually found an even balance in Eurlmore's splendorous fashions. Despite some reluctancies, Yura legitimately came to enjoy such moments of dress-up and often wishes she had more occasion for it… though she will be the last to admit to it!

Danseuse
Ever one for practicality above all else, it was to no ones surprise that Yura's equipment and choice of attire when practicing as a Dancer was a bit less than dazzling. Prefering clothing that allows her to move with great ease, and not the biggest fan of extra flowing fabric, Yura chosese to resort to a simple attire, donning pants and thigh boots which grant her the mobility she craves. Despite the simplicity of her attire, she does grant herself some leave in her bodice, allowing herself a degree of exposure she isn't always used to, but clearly makes work.

Iron Clad
A continued advocate of ripping, tearing and moving with ease in a fight, Yura’s dress style as a Gunbreaker continues to reflect her love of freedom, choosing to tank in lighter clothing to produce a heavier damage and speed output. Weilding a simple but effective blade, Yura continues to favor a lightweight set, continuing her practical sense of fashion. With a pure white coat, Yura doesn't take the fights she picks lightly, weighing which stains she wears are worth it and which are born to breed regrets.

Like Finely Aged Wine
The years have changed much and more of Yura as shown by her considerable growth in character. Much mellowed out, Yura spends her days tending to the simple things in life she often took for granted, tending to her gardens and spending what time she cans with her loved ones.
However not everything changes with age, her steadfast and forthright nature remaining. Yura still isn’t afraid to get down and dirty, never one to reject the call of adventure when it rises. As devoted a wife as she is a warrior, Yura’s overwhelming willpower remains, along, at times, with her overwhelmingly bold and blunt attitude.
Not always on edge, Yura allows herself some freedom in her clothing, dressing casually more frequently and counting the days she isn’t armored up as a blessing.

Nepenthe
Yura has suffered a great deal in her life, just a so many others. In her grief, she sought a way to abolish it from others, bearing her energies to alleviate the suffer of others no matter what it might take. Embracing primal energy, she takes the name Nepenthe, Harbinger of Sorrow, seeking to harness her energies to wage war against forces of destruction, her vision blinding her to her own destructive power. god or Primal, she takes the fate of others in her own hands, seeking to watch over the lost and abandoned. PersonalityYura generally comes off as abrasive and callous young woman with a sharp tongue and even sharper wit. She tends to act in an extremely aggressive manner, and is usually the first one to throw a punch in a given situation, patience not being one of her strong suits. However, despite appearing as an individual with no concern for others, Yura has a genuinely good heart about her. She grew into a hardened individual in order to survive the world around her after the loss of her mother and her choice to leave her home. In reality, Yura cares a great deal for the people around her, especially those close to her, and would never hesitate to put herself in danger in order to protect another. Yura's language of affection is often shown through physical gestures and subdued remarks to show her love for those close to her. It is not impossible for her to vocalize her feelings however, as she tends to wear her emotions on her face, and can always be counted on for a straight answer when asked for one on any subject. She does tend to hide her issues, however, believing they are hers to deal with and no one else's.Yura is extremely determined individual and is diligent in all her duties, even if she really doesn't want to preform them. This has caused her a great many problems in the past due to conflicts of interest and her willingness to put herself and occasionally others in the path of danger to do what she needs to do, though she has become more aware of her actions as her journey has continued. She is also extremely observant and empathetic, being able to tune into the feelings of others and the environment around her even if her actions may not always show it.Perhaps one of the things that sticks out most about Yura is her integrity and dedication. Despite every challenge she has faced, Yura has never strayed from her chosen path, and has never fallen prey to possession or temptation, making her someone a friend can always depend on to be there when shes needed, even in the worst of times. She holds true to her ideals and is a firm believer that good intentions are good to have but no replacement for integrity and sound judgement.Yura's biggest fault comes in her own disregard of herself. Yura doesn’t exactly value herself, and has some image issues. She sees herself as something left over due to the issues she’s had with her mother leaving, and eventually dying, and often feels incomplete and abandoned. She often compares herself to others seeking some sort of reasoning, trying to understand where it all went wrong. Because of her image issues, she usually does this out of self criticism, as she’s convinced of her lack of worth. This is something she comes to confront, however, with the help of those around her. Yura calms a great deal as time goes on, becoming friendlier overall but still prone to aggression, blunt speaking and outbursts from time to time.

Mannerisms
Extraordinarily strong and proud, Yura is most often seen with her head high and her chest puffed out full. She has particularly good posture, often seen with her shoulders back and standing straight, ever at attention and ever alert of her surroundings. Despite the strong stance Yura holds, she is often seen with her arms crossed across her chest in a manner that could almost seem withdrawn and defensive, not liking having herself feel exposed. When not seen with her signature cross arms, Yura is often seen with either one or both of her hands at her hips, despising not having anywhere to place them. She tends to be very fidgety when she has nothing to do with her hands, especially when left bored for too long. Due to this, she is also very expressive in conversation due to exuberant movements and very telling facial expressions, so long as she has nothing to hide.
Despite her power and seeming pride, Yura tends to be a very shy sort of girl and is far from the best with people. She has a great many self-esteem issues and tends to avoid interaction with people if she can while also prioritizing their wellbeing from a distance. People tend to struggle to get to know her, as she hides her intentions very well, though her words often betray her. She tends to be very, very blunt in her speech, always speaking her mind even when it is best left unspoken. She isn’t afraid of meeting eyes with anyone and tends to be a bit loud in her speech, often without realizing. Yura has a very sharp temper, and is known to lose her grip at times, often flying off the handle when things go awry, both in anger and in sadness. She bottles issues up until she explodes, her negative emotions often coming out in volatile outbursts, though she has better learned to control these as time goes on.
When fighting, Yura is a quick and deadly assailant, able to not only dish a hit, but take one back as well. She excels in roles that place her right up on enemies, as she is best left to melee and flanking. Her skill with a lance is near unrivaled, having mastered the art at only 17 and only continuing to grow stronger. Despite her brutal style, there is also a very specific air of grace around Yura. Her way of walking and standing are telling of her time as a dancer, her careful elegance, pristine posture, and cautious movements betraying her rugged stance both on and off the battlefield.

"Jack of all Trades, Master of none, better than a Master of One"
A brutal and quick footed warrior, Yura does her best work while up close and personal with her enemies. Physically fit and unnaturally quick with the progression of physical classes, Yura is a vicious fighter known for her brutal strength while also maintaining a light and graceful step. Her attacks are often quick and powerful, leaving people little time to ponder what is happening in the moment, allowing her to quickly cripple enemies. Extremely nimble, Yura has always Excelled as a Dragoon due to a combination of her strength and flexibility, able to pounce and strike in a ravenous fashion. While she excels at being close with the enemy, she is also proficient in physical ranged classes, having aim as true as her heart. Very familiar with the skill sets of the Dancer, Yura is able to support her allies in various manners, be it shielding, healing or buffing her allies abilities. This also enables her to keep close to her enemies while also giving her a range in both distance and options. Due to her indomitable will and extraordinary strength, both often attributed to her manifestation of her Echo, Yura is also able to take a heavier hit than most people, getting up from stronger blows most would collapse from.Despite her excelling in the physical arts, Yura often struggles with magical based classes. She has a hard time focusing when it comes to casting and finds that magic and mana simply do not come easy to her, often wearing herself out after too much effort. She does work on this, however, with the help of friends and fellow scions such as Alphinaud and Alisaie, able to hold her own as both a White Mage and a Red Mage, though her skills tend to be quite rough. Despite these failings, Yura is strong of will and, as a result, is immune to almost all mind-altering effects.A brutal warrior, Yura has never been one to plan things head, though she is very aware on the battlefield. Despite nor having a penchant for strategies, Yura is able to work well with others when it comes down to it. She tends to have a very erratic and random sort of tendencies, often being unpredictable and eccentric in her actions. She relies heavily on her strength and abilities to get her out of whatever trouble she gets herself into, and is not averse to utilizing the entirety of her skill set, even if she is rusty in some respects. She works very well with others when push comes to shove, however, and is not against having solid plans.

She likes to be at the forefront of battle, and must be due to her fighting style, but generally attempts to stay at enemy’s flanks. She generally attempts to avoid AoEs and will run out of them unless she is locked in animation or preparing to jump. She is also generally the first to limit break single targets below 20%. A unique trait of Yura’s is her focus on protecting her party at all costs, especially her healer. If a party member should fall below 20% health while the target of an enemy or the healer should fall under attack, Yura will immediately disengage whomever she was attacking to burst down said enemy, and has the ability to taunt to draw an enemy away if the target of the enemy is below 20% health. Yura is also immune to mind altering effects due to her extreme sense of presence and willpower. When not in combat, Yura will remain the further behind the rest of the party to ensure everyone's backs are covered. If left idle long enough she will begin to whistle, moving around slightly but never far enough to get ahead of the party, rather pacing, preforming dance steps and the like. Dragoon

The Azure Dragoon
"I always felt like it was something like a sense of poetic irony, having dealt all my life with stares and assumptions that I was just that which I and my father had picked up arms to fight. Au Ra and Dragon. But there was so much more to it."Training beginning at a young age, Yura picked up her lance in the defense of her home just as her father before her. Her skill and passion earned her a place in the lancers’ guild shortly after her arrival in Gridania, a place she quickly found herself outgrowing. As her growth in Gridania became stunted, she eventually went on to seek further training in Coerthas, training with Alberic despite her fears of remaining so close to Ishgard. During her training, Yura was reunited with Estinien, an old acquaintance, an comes to accept her role as an Azure Dragoon, taking on the Dragoon Soul Crystal.Despite her young age and smaller stature, Yura fights with the experience and skill of many a man twice her age and build. A nimble and quick heeled fighter, Yura is known not only for her skillful and powerful jumps and dives, but also for her inhuman power oft thought to be granted to her by her echo. Her resonation with her inner dragon allows her utilization of extreme maneuvers, taking advantage of her superior strength and speed to deliver devastating blows to her enemies. She can take as good as she can dish as well, her armor often rendering her one of the stronger, more stalwart of damage dealers. Her fervor, passion and determination combined with this unabated skill and power render her a staunch ally and a dangerous enemy.
Dancer

A Havering Danseuse"If things hadn't have been the way they were, I don't think I ever would have picked up the art of the Dancer. Kind of embarrasing to think about now. Never thought about it, never showed interest...the art just kind of fell in my lap. But it meant the world when it did. I only wish I could have done more..."Following her departure from Ishgard, Yura found herself lost and alone, unsure of where to go or what to do. However, to suffer and die for her lack of preparedness was not to be her fate. In her aimless wanderings, Yura was eventually taken in by a small caravan of traveling refugees. Among them was a young Viera woman, named Zavre, who took the girl under her wing, sensing her pain and electing to teach her the art whether she wanted to or not, believing it would be healthy for her ailing heart and mind. Though their time together was all too short, Yura still carries with her these skills, yet is reluctant to practice. Why, however, she will not say.Due to her youth and natural agility, it was to no one’s surprise Yura was able to master the art of the dance in such a short time. Her prowess and abilities as a Dragoon translated into her steps as a dancer, her light steps echoing her timeless training. Yura’s mastery of steps provides her with a great deal of agility and maneuverability, using her skills to invigorate and support not only herself but those with whom she shares the steps. Yura has developed an equal skill in the utilization of Chakrams due to the endless hours she has dedicated to the art, making her a deadly shot. Yura’s prowess as a dancer often translates into her other jobs, as she is easily able to maneuver her way across a battle.
gunbreaker

The Stalwart Swoardswoman
"The art of an enemy or that of a generation of warriors? To her it was both, having acquired the skills from two vastly different sides of the same coin. And it was to me she passed all this knowledge, for better or worse."
After bonding with Asta, the woman came to recognize Yura’s potential when it came to the art of the blade. Knowing her ideals and passions and believing the art would be a healthy outlet and meaningful process for the girl, Asta elected to allow Yura the opportunity to study all of the styles of the Gunblade Asta was familiar with, a proposition which Yura accepted. Yura’s dedication and prior abilities shined in this new form, allowing her better access to further arts which she was able to entwine within her arsenal and further opportunities to come to her friend’s defense.Already able to take as good as she gives, Yura took to the Gunblade easily. Yura’s prior experience with being up close and personal with her enemies paid off in her training, allowing her ease of access and a fearless approach to the art. It did take Yura some time to adapt to charging her cartridges, but this too is something she came to master quickly. Still light on her feet and heavy in her blow, Yura is able to easily combine many of her familiar arts into one skillset.

History

Origins (Primary Timeline): Originally a member of another timeline, Yura was a child born with the soul of a lost daughter and imbued with the will and life of a shattered sister. Upon her discovery by her mother of another time, she was taken away to the source to be fully reconstructed, but was eventually hidden away to keep her safe. Due to her delicate soul, her mother sought to imbue her with the powers of another, effectively creating another shard of the Warrior of Light within the Source. With this power infused within her, she would soon find herself in a fight to protect the worlds she had come to know and love.Origins (WoL timeline): Born as the Shard of Azem of the source, Yura's Destiney has ever been entwined with the world around her. Orphaned at a young age due to the Dragon Wars, Kore recognized the child's soul as that of her sister's , and desired to see her to safety. Brining her to a young Au Ra man, she begged him watch the child and care for her as his own, leaving and watching over Yura as she grew.Childhood: The only daughter of a Dragoon of Ishgaurd, Yura was a beloved child, despite her unfortunate circumstances. Yura was born to a loving father and many family friends, but never knew her mother, who had left home on a mission while the girl as young and never returned. Yura had to grow up at a young age, as her father, while loving and doting on the girl, was often busy. She tasked herself with taking care of daily household chores, all while keeping up with her training. Thankfully, Yura was not always alone, as she had many family friend who had come to know the girl through her mother, a final gift of sorts, before her disappearance. Yura's most trusted friend came in the form of a young Elezen some ten years her senior, Vetelle. The daughter of dignitaries in Ishgaurd, and former associates of Yura's mother, Vetelle bonded quickly with the younger girl, and acted as a maternal figure in her life. Despite being grateful for all she had, Yura was still curious of the fate of her real mother, and her curiosity would not be sated until she found out what happened. So, leaving home with all the knowledge of combat her father had given her, and the knowledge gifted to her by Vetelle, Yura left home at the young age of 14 on her own personal quest to find her mother. She would spend the next years of her life searching not only for her mother, but for her own meaning in life as she was confronted with the reality of her life as a possessor of the Echo and as an individual worth more than she was ever willing to give herself credit for. As time went on, she would grow from a selfish child chasing the past to a hardened and compassionate warrior and Scion with an yearning for a brighter future.Yura's default timeline has her as not the sole Warrior of Light, sharing the role with another / acting as a Scion.
In the timeline where she is the sole Warrior of Light, Yura is from the current timeline and Source and simply the shard of Kore's sister, following the story as written.
This is a more detailed explanation of Yura's Story containing detailed content from before and during the game. For shorter versions, see A Brief Summary of Many Events or Timeline
Originally a fragment of the daughter of Kore and Emet- Selch, Yura was made an amalgamation of aether made flesh, created by the will and desperation of a mother and a sister. Kore, an Ascian of ancient times, spent a millennia gathering lingering essences of Azem, her sister, in an attempt to restore her child, knowing her sister’s power to summon allies from afar and hoping to use it to stabilize and protect her daughters delicate soul upon the discovery of the perfect vessel. Upon discovering Yura’s original form as a babe, she sought to unify her child’s soul with this power, yet instead imbued her child’s delicate soul with the aether of Azem in her attempts to summon the shards of her child, creating a homunculus combination of her child and what was effectively a shard of Azem gathered from alternate timelines. Even understanding her failure to enact what she had sought to do, she felt a love for this unified soul of her two most precious memories and souls, and sought to protect her evermore, especially from the ascians who may see the girls patchworked but powerful soul as an afront to their goals.Leaving her child’s soul in the body of a young Au-ra and in the care of a man named Iemori, Kore quietly watched over her child as she grew, offering what aid she could as her child embarked on the journey to change the world, and other worlds along the way.A Realm Reborn
Heavy WiPAfter her recruitment, Yura spent a great deal of time in Camp Dragonhead, generally aiming to monitor any disturbances in the Highlands, watching for any supposed Imperial and Primal activity. She was hesitant to have been in a position so close to Ishgard, but it was believed her position there would have made any possible contact a bit easier.---------However, Yura was called away from Dragonhead by Alphinaud after the attack on the Waking Sands. She joins him in seeking aid from the amnesiac Cid, and it there introduced to the Warrior of Light From there.Yura accompanies the others in order to try and locate Cid's Airship due to her familiarity with Coerthas. after the Enterprise had been located, Yura elected to accompany the party to the Stone Vigil offering what assistance that she could. After escaping from Lahabrea and Isgebind on the Enterprise, Yura elected to leave the party as they proceeded to the Howling Eye, claiming to have personal business. It was then that Yura met with long time associates who had assisted Yura upon her arrival in Eorzea so long ago. Having run into trouble with some less than savory bandits, Yura was more than happy to assist in dispatching and retrieving some stolen goods and supplies taken from local settlements. Yura once again reunites with Alphinaud, Cid, and the Warrior of Light in the Waking Sands, learning of the Ultima Weapon. She offers her assistance to the Warrior of light for whatever they may need, though a bit hesitantly so at first, still struggling with her place in the scions..Yura assists the others in investigating Castrum Centri as the party heads to the Highlands. When it is confirmed that two Imperial Prisoners escaped an Imperial airship which had made an emergency landing. She assists in locating Biggs and Wedge, being familiar with the area. After both men had been safely recovered, Yura remained behind in the highlands for a time on her own business. Having been called back by Ser Alberic, the man who had trained Yura for some time during her station in the highlands and whom she had been assisting in tracking down a Rogue Dragoon by the name of Estinien who had stolen the Eye, a priceless Ishgarding relic, Yura was informed that Estinien has wished to initiate contact with Yura and Alberic. A name familiar to Yura, she was happy to set out to discover Estinien's intents, having once respected the man endlessly in her youth and known him as an aquaintence through Vetelle and Aymeric. He explained why he had stolen the eye, attempting to spare Ishgard from the wrath of the wyrm Nidhogg upon his return. Estinien explains his beliefs that Yura was to be chosen as the second Azure Dragoon and she was meant to assit him in slaying the ancient dragon, despite her young age, also appealing to her desire to protect her home. Yura denied any possibilities of any "great destiny" lying before her such as a title of Azure dragoon, but promised to consider his statements.Yura continued her training for a while, attempting to think on what was said by Estinien while also being sent on final trials by Alberic. After hearing Alberic's tales of his own failure to defeat Nidhogg Yura is reaffirmed in her course of action. Estinien sends word that Nidhogg is about to make a move and requests a rendezvous at Steel Vigil. There, he turned his spear towards his former master, and revealed that the Eye told him the truth of Ser Alberic's actions twenty years ago, and that he kept the loss of the Eye from the archbishop. Denouncing him as a coward, Estinien declared his intent to slay Alberic and then take out the Great Wyrm himself. As Ser Alberic earned that his emotions leave him dangerously vulnerable to the dragon's influence, Yura was forced to take up arms in his defense. After a vicious battle, Yura had finally come to nearly defeat Estinien, however, the voice of Nidhogg began to offer power. As Estinient reached out to receive it, Yura was suddenly consumed in light, having awakened the power of the first Azure Dragoon, which manifested in the original Drachen Mail of the first Azure Dragoon. A blinding flash occured before he and the wyrmking's aura vanished. After this incident, Yura had a hard time continuing to deny her own potential, as it was clear that she was special in some way. It had come to reafirm her, in a way, having felt like nothing more than a burden for a long time. With Nidhogg's aura fading and the dragons quieting down, Ser Alberic hopes that Estinien is still out there.Having finished settling her own business, Yura rejoined the others in preparation for breaking into Castrum Centri, feeling a bit more reassured of her place within the Scions. Yura acts as a distractive force as the WoL manages to break the remaining captive Scions free. She managed to rendevue just in time to come to see that Thancred had become posessed by Lahabrea, and managed to flea alongside her cohorts. After consorting with the Alliance leaders, Yura assists in Operation Archon, being part of the team that managed to take down Nero, Livia, and Rihtahtyn alongside the WoL. Eventually, she also assists in taking down Gaius himself alongside the ever feared Ultima weapon, as well as Lahabrea. After the Garleans and the Ascian had been successfully been driven back, Yura is among the many to happily witness A mutual respect among the Grand Companies, and witness the coming of the Seventh Astral Age.

Snow"Since it has quietly began to snow, new distances have awakened within me"Yura’s aesthetic tends to revolve heavily around her rather growth as not just a warrior, but as a person as well
Snow is a very common theme in Yura’s life, in both a negative and positive way. Sometimes seen as representing sadness, bleakness and death, the snow in Yura’s life has always blanketed her in a cloak of insecurity, fear and loss. It’s cold touch represents her everlasting sadness and regrets at the losses she has endured and her fears of further failings. It also represents her regrets of past decisions and actions as well as her self-worth issues, seeing life as something she must suffer rather than live. However, Snow does not always settle on the darker side of things. The snow in Yura’s life also offers a symbolic cleansing of the soul as she learns to move forward in life. It comes to represent a new beginning she finds in learning not to let the past control her future and obscures her fears and regrets. It represents a blanket of purity and a fresh start for her as she continues to push forward.Flowers"A flower blossoms for it's own joy"Though it may not look it, flowers are a particularly important symbol in Yura’s life. Her love of the natural world and gardening have always been one of her greatest escapes, the cycle of life of nature representing her own growth as a person. The flowers in Yura’s life represent her continued movement through life, as her first encounter with them left her in awe, as she bloomed with them, but soon began to wither as time moved forward, just as her life moved forward. However, just like a new bloom, Yura eventually learned to press forward and regrow herself in time.

- Yura is absolutely petrified of the idea of the supernatural. She doesn’t get it, she doesn’t want it, and she hates the very idea of it. Anytime she hears the word ‘haunted” shes out.
- Despite spending a majority of her time training in Gridania, Yura earned her sea legs under the command of the Maelstrom, and is very familiar with Merlwyb.
- Yura does possess the Echo, but is not the WoL. She does follow the Lancer/Dragoon storyline, however!
- Yura loves the cold, but doesn’t do too well in heat. She hates having to be out in the hot sun, and the idea of getting any kind of tan or sunburn. She generally covers up extensively when going anywhere hot.
- Yura is very fond of cooking, to the surprise of many, and is actually quite good at it having been responsible for household chores growing up.
- While Yura and her father have not held tight ties to their origin tribe in some time, Iemori’s father hailed directly from it.
- Yura owns a Griffin that was somewhat of a runt. The pair grew up with one another though Yura was broken hearted at having to leave him behind after her departure From Ishgard
- She wanted to be a baker when she was young
- Yura is a proficient Dancer thanks to Zavre, though she rarely uses the battle skills
- Yura's skills in battle far Surpass most men's twice her age. She attributes it to her echo, which seems to grant her an enhanced physical ability, though she feels somewhat lacking in magic. She feels like her Aether is kinda screwed up and this has been commented on by others as well
- People often comment on how easy it is to forget Yura is still, in many ways, a child despite her skill and experience. she is still just a teenager, though it can be easy to forget watching her.
